Teaming Up for Success: Launching Leadership Program at Pace Farm

I recently had the pleasure of catching up with my colleague, Paola Tornatore, who has taken on the role of Chief People and Safety Officer at Pace Farm earlier this year. You might recognise Pace Farm from their eggs in major retailers. The company was acquired by ROC Group in mid-2023, marking an exciting new chapter for them.

Facilitating the Leadership Program for Pace Farm

Paola and I have teamed up to coordinate and co-facilitate a Leadership Program with the Pace Farm executive team, focusing on the concept of Extreme Ownership. This powerful approach, from the book by ex-Navy SEALs Jocko Willink and Leif Babin, has proven successful in our previous endeavours. The executive team also delved into the Human Synergistics LSI and GSI tools, which provide valuable 360-degree feedback and insights into team dynamics.

How Does a Leadership Program Drive Culture

When I asked Paola why she is so passionate about this program, she shared, “Dave, as you know, leadership drives culture, and it starts at the top of the organisation. I truly believe in the principles of Extreme Ownership and want to embed that culture here at Pace Farms. This is a brilliant business with fantastic people. Many of the executive team members have expressed a keen interest in leadership development, so I’ve introduced concepts of constructive (blue) leadership and ownership. These are incredibly powerful tools that we need at Pace Farms to achieve our goals.

Paola’s enthusiasm and dedication to fostering a strong leadership culture are truly inspiring. I’m excited to see how these initiatives will shape the future of Pace Farms and help them soar to new heights!
